6 bad habits that cause weight increase
Many people who seek weight loss decided to have coffee instead of a decent breakfast. At lunch time, people picked a fast food place to finish their lunch hastily to save time. Finally, they returned home and reward themselves a fancy feast to compensate their rash choices on breakfast and lunch. After the delicious feast, sitting in front of the television or computer and wait for the day to end. Although this routine might be common for everyone, there are at least 6 habits that cause weight gain. If your lifestyle is as described as above, then it is nothing to be surprised at if you are gaining weight.
Big feast
Many people ate too much because they have to attend banquets and meetings; it is rarely people will leave with an empty stomach. For this reason, this can be one of the strong causes of obesity. Because the amount of food people ate by themselves compare to banquets and meetings varies greatly, normal digesting rate cannot fully digest the greater amount from eating more than usual. And the undigested remains are most likely to be converted into body fat.
By following the recent trend of eating 5~6 meals a day, as number of meal increase, the calorie digestion can improve 10%. By following this eating habit of dividing amount of food into more meals, weight loss can be done with more ease.
Hunger
Usually after a great feast, it follows hunger. It is not recommended to skip any meals for no particular occasion. For example, if you are trapped in the desert where food source is scarce, most of the time you will conserve what you have until you can find another source of energy or until you can no longer endure. Same principle, if you normally eat plentiful for your stomach, but suddenly skipped 1 or 2 meals, the body will adjust and be able to store the food until next food source is available. And this is the direct cause for obesity.
Sugar and Caffeine
Consuming high sugar content foods will increase the body blood level, thus increase the amount of insulin that will directly lower the rate of metabolism. The negative effect caused by over-consumption of sugar will allow the body to store extra (unnecessary) fat, and it is usually the hardest to burn down.
Caffeine has the same effect as sugar. It will increase the blood level as well as decrease the rate of burning down fat. If you want to achieve weight loss, please avoid sugar and caffeine products.
Skipping breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The breakfast signals the body to start the metabolic process, within the 8 hours after eating the breakfast; the metabolic rate will be increased. If you skipped breakfast, the metabolic rate slows down and will not be able to process the nutrient from the food you ate; they will be converted into fat and be stored in the body.
Eats too fast
Please understand that it is not the stomach that tells you whether it is full or not, the signal comes from the brain. Unfortunately, it takes 20 minutes for the signal to transmit between the brain and stomach. In another words, you can only feel what is in your stomach 20 minutes ago. If you eat your food in a fast pace, you will eat more than you can take in, because the brain is unable to give you a “stomach full” signal at the time when you are full.
Not Enough water
The metabolic process needs water to process its function in burning down fat. Even if you eat healthy or follow a diet plan, if there is no sufficient water to process the metabolic process, then you can still become over-weight. It is recommended by doctors and health consultants that people should drink at least 1 gallon of water a day.
